Project Workflow from Technical Review to Mold or Product Delivery
Fitmold follows a clear project workflow to help customers move from inquiry, technical communication, and tooling development to mold trial, mold delivery, or finished part production.
After mold approval, the project can follow two delivery paths: mold shipment for customers who only need tooling, or part production and finished product delivery for customers who need manufacturing support.
A typical project starts with technical review, communication, part confirmation, tooling design, and mold trial. After mold approval, the workflow can continue through mold delivery or finished part production, depending on the customer’s requirement.
01
Customer Inquiry
Send us your drawings, samples, photos, or project requirements for initial review. If complete engineering data is not available, we can also discuss the project based on samples, sketches, or reference parts.
02
Technical Communication
We review the project details, material requirements, tolerances, surface finish, expected volume, packaging needs, and key manufacturing concerns before preparing the next step.
03
Part Structure Confirmation
Part structure, mold feasibility, draft angle, undercuts, assembly details, critical surfaces, and possible production risks are reviewed before tooling starts.
04
Tooling Design
The mold structure, parting line, gate location, cooling layout, inserts, sliders, lifters, and other tooling details are prepared for customer review and confirmation.
05
Tooling Manufacturing & Mold Trial
After tooling approval, the mold is manufactured, assembled, tested, and adjusted based on trial samples, inspection results, and project requirements.
AFTER MOLD TRIAL APPROVAL
The project continues through one of two delivery paths based on customer requirements.
PATH A
Mold Delivery
For customers who only need tooling, the approved mold is prepared for export after mold trial and sample confirmation.
06A
Mold Packaging & Shipping
The mold is cleaned, protected, packed in a customized wooden case, and arranged for shipment according to export requirements.
PATH B
Part Production
For customers who need finished parts, the approved mold is released for injection molding, finishing, assembly, inspection, and shipment preparation.
06B
Production & Part Manufacturing
Plastic parts are produced according to approved samples, material requirements, inspection standards, production quantity, and packaging requirements.
07B
Finished Product Shipping
Finished parts are inspected, packed, labeled, and shipped according to packaging requirements, shipping method, lead time, and destination.
TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION & APPROVAL
Clear Communication Before Each Project Moves Forward
Custom manufacturing projects require careful communication before tooling, mold trial, production, or shipment. Fitmold reviews drawings, technical requirements, material information, surface finish, tolerances, packaging needs, and approval status with customers at each key stage.
This helps reduce misunderstanding, control project risk, and keep overseas manufacturing work more transparent.
