Integrated Reverse Engineering System

The integrated reverse engineering system framework can be divided into three parts (or three sub-systems): digital and data processing systems, model reconstruction subsystems, and product manufacturing subsystems.

First, the task of digitization and data processing is to measure planning, measurement, and data processing transformations. When making measurement plans, the main consideration is only the geometry of the surface, without further consideration of the requirements of subsequent tasks. Digital technology, digital measurement is completed by 3D digitizer (three coordinate measuring machine, optical measuring system and laser measuring system) and measurement software generation. The task of data processing is mainly to perform probe compensation, noise filtering, smoothing, data reduction, classification, complementary points, multi-view measurement data relocation, data stratification and symmetric reference reconstruction. Data conversion is the conversion of measurement data points directly into NC code and STL files.

Next, the mold reconstruction subsystem mainly includes modules such as model reconstruction, model analysis, and model evaluation, which are different from the current CAD modeling software or CAD/CAE/CAM system. Its data structure is faced with an integrated data model structure, with dedicated reverse functions (curves, surface fitting, etc.) and reconstruction model evaluation functions.

Finally, the product manufacturing subsystem is mainly processing and manufacturing equipment, including various CNC machine tools (NC) and rapid prototyping machines. The measured data is processed and converted into processing and manufacturing systems, and finally the product samples, objects or molds are obtained.
