UNEP Promotes The Development Of Disposable Plastic Substitutes

The UN Environment Agency recently released a report proposing a replacement for disposable plastics with the theme “Winning against plastic pollution.”

UNEP Director Eric Solheim said: “The transition from disposable plastics to sustainable plastics is an investment in the long-term future of our environment. The world needs solutions, not disposable plastics.” According to the agency, “It is neither possible nor desirable to eliminate all plastics in society” and that plastics are essential in certain applications, such as the medical field.

Peter Kesha, the lead author of the report, said: “The report aims to encourage society to question our current use of plastics and consider other approaches, especially for items with a single purpose, such as packaging, packaging and others. Single-use items bring a lot of plastic waste and flow to the ocean.”Peter Kesha, the lead author of the report, said: “The report aims to encourage society to question our current use of plastics and consider other approaches, especially for items with a single purpose, such as packaging, packaging and others.
